DENVER (PSN) -- Pictured above is Denver Broncos kicker Jason Elam
celebrating at mid-field after kicking a 27 yard field goal in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 65-3 loss
to the Arizona Cardinals. The kick cut the lead to 46 points.
After the game, the three-time Pro Bowl selection reacted strongly to
widespread criticism that pulling a ticker tape parade out of his socks was
"overdoing it." Elam defended his action: "Football is supposed to be
entertaining. I'm just trying to give the fans a good show. If anything, Tagliabue
should be thanking me, am I right?" When asked by the astonished
reporters how he managed to carry the infrastructure and population of four city
blocks inside his socks, Elam explained, "Hey, I wear knee-highs, man."
